I'm a curious journalist and editor with a special interest in writing about the food system, culture, business, the environment, health and feminism.

My work has been published by The Atlantic, Modern Farmer, Allure, Outside, Parade, Ms., Via, American Way, Sierra Magazine, Alternet.org, Edible Monterey Bay, Edible LA, Edible Silicon Valley, Edible San Diego, and Edible Phoenix, among others. I earned a dozen statewide awards for my work at Good Times Weekly newspaper, where I worked from 2008 to 2014, including first place for Best Writing in the 2011 and 2013 California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA) Better Newspapers Contests.

I've been an editor at regional publications since 2009, first at Good Times, where I was the managing editor, and currently at the bimonthly surf lifestyle magazine Santa Cruz Waves.
